What is ExileDesk?
ExileDesk is a free fan-made tool for trying Path of Exile 2 crafts in your browser, one step at a time. Hold a currency, bone, omen or essence and click the item to see which mods were added or removed and the chance at that moment. Open the Craft Stage to start.
Is this an official site?
No. It is an unofficial fan site run by an individual and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games.
Does it cost anything?
No, it is free. The site shows ads to cover its costs.
Can I undo a step?
Yes. Press R to undo one step at a time, or use "Reset" to start again from the plain base. If you visit another page and come back in the same tab, you pick up where you left off.
What is the Spam simulator?
Pick one mod, and it runs augment, chaos and exalt spam at Regular, Greater and Perfect grades, 100 attempts each, to show which route gets there cheapest. Open it with the "Spam simulator" button on the Craft Stage. A luck test also shows where your own run would rank among the 100.
Are the chances official values?
No. They are estimates from game data, poe2db and published player measurements, and results are not guaranteed.
Where do mod weights and tiers come from?
Mod names, tiers and weights are checked against poe2db, and odds formulas against Craft of Exile. When the two disagree and nothing settles it, we follow poe2db. Our blog explains where specific numbers come from.
How are Desecrated mod weights handled?
Every Desecrated-only mod has a weight of 1 on both poe2db's crafting tool and Craft of Exile, and nobody has worked out the real values. So ExileDesk treats all Desecrated-only mods as equally likely. How many of the three reveal options are Desecrated-only (one, two or three) follows a 563-reveal measurement on rings: 85%, 14% and 1%.
How does quality round numbers?
It rounds down. This matches real items, where a +3 skill level mod on jewellery reaches +4 at exactly 34% quality and stays at +3 at 33%.
What happens when a currency can't be used?
If the game would refuse it, the reason appears in the middle of the item card, and the currency is not used up.
Can a Fracturing Orb fracture a Desecrated mod?
No. Desecrated mods and unrevealed slots count toward the four mods the orb needs, but they are never picked to be fractured. In 24 in-game tries, a Desecrated mod was fractured 0 times.
Does an Orb of Annulment remove an unrevealed Desecrated mod?
Yes. This was confirmed in game.
Can I add quality after Sanctifying an item?
No. Once an item is Sanctified, nothing can be used on it, including quality currency, catalysts, orbs, omens, essences and bones; this was confirmed in game. Add quality before you Sanctify.
Do omens drop off after each use?
On ExileDesk, an omen stays applied after you use the currency by default. Click the applied omen again to remove it.
Can I use a Vaal Orb or an Orb of Chance?
No. They are not included.
Where do the market prices come from?
The server fetches prices from poe2scout once an hour and shares the same prices with everyone. The cost of your steps is totalled from these prices automatically.
Can I search the trade site for my item?
Yes. "Search these mods on trade" opens a search on the official trade site in a new tab, built from the mods on your current item.
What data do you collect?
We record how the site is used, such as which currencies you used and what each step did, to improve the site. These records contain no names, email addresses or IP addresses, and there are no accounts. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Can I opt out of usage records?
Yes. The Privacy Policy has a link that stops sending usage records from that device and deletes the records already received from it.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. A bar at the bottom shows what you are holding, so you can use or drop it from there. A PC is handier if you want the mod list and steps side by side.
Is there an English version?
Yes. Switch with EN in the top bar. Game terms use the game client's own English text. English articles are on the English blog.
I found a mistake or a bug. What should I do?
Use "Send feedback" at the top right of the site. It sends the current state of your craft (base, steps and so on) with your message, which helps us fix things faster. You can attach up to three images.
Will I get a reply to my feedback?
When we fix something you sent, a notice appears the next time you open the site on the same device. If you use the Contact form and leave a way to reach you, we reply there.
